What this is

A small, honest tool — built to answer one question before you book.

Why FareBoard exists

Most "deal" badges on travel sites are based on an inflated reference price, not what people actually paid. FareBoard exists to give a quick, transparent second opinion: is the number you're looking at actually reasonable for the route or hotel tier, based on published benchmark ranges — not a live feed, and not a guess dressed up as one.

How the price check works

Flight prices are converted to a cost-per-1,000-miles figure and compared against typical published fare ranges for that cabin class. Hotel prices are compared against typical nightly rates for that star tier and city type. These are directional benchmarks, refreshed periodically from public fare and rate data — not a live pricing API. Treat the result as a sanity check, not a guarantee.

How this site makes money

The Deals page includes affiliate links to booking platforms. If you book through one of those links, FareBoard may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This site also displays ads in clearly marked slots. Neither affects which platforms are listed or what the calculator tells you — the price check runs on the same benchmark logic regardless of any partnership.
